Post #8: Expository Post (Gil Fargas)
In reality we put ourselves in his perspective, he was a man
who, although he was elderly, had quite a few things like the ones we highlight
in this blog. Although he only appears at the beginning, it helps us a lot to
understand the context of the story at that moment. The things we highlight are
stories like his habits and things, but the important thing is how Mr. Spencer
advised and tried to help Holden. Literally the images are Mr. Spencer or
things he did and characteristics that distinguished him. Letting ourselves get
carried away with this is also his style since it is something that is related
to the past and he is a history teacher. Well, Mr. Spencer, as I already
mentioned, appears only at the beginning but it was important since he also
gave us another description of the main character, such as his lack of maturity
or identity.
